Yummy FTP Lite App Reviews

Stay away, too many pop-ups for a paid app.

Too many annoying pop-up asking for email my email, advertisement upgrade to pro pop ups. It would not be so annoying if the app is free.

Good price

I bought this to replace filezilla which gave me problems with using my wacom tablet pen tool. So far this app works without a problem and is easily worth the $1.99. Seems to have all the functionality that I need.

Worked well when first installed

Incredible customer service changed my review from 1 star, to 5 stars! Old review is below: After using this for several weeks, it has started to crash on my MBPR. Sometimes as often as when clicking anything within the interface, other times when Im either dragging or dropping an upload/download.

Yummy FTP Lite

Great little app. Nothing fancy but gets the file transfer job done reliably. The price is right too!

Simple but powerful ftp app

Great for what it dos, good value compare to the others.

Great!!!

Works Great!!! Unbelievible ease of use!!!! Why for Christ sake other developers can’t do the same usability????)))))

Best FTP client I’ve found so far

It just works and does what it says on the tin. Transfers thousands of files with no glitches both via FTP and SFTP. If you’re looking for a stable, polished FTP client look no further.

Quick to set up and easy to use.

I was very pleased with how easy this was to set up and to use. Im not real savvy about these sorts of things, but all of the controls and the layout were very easy to understand and I had files transferring in seconds. Thanks!

Very Lightweight

If youre looking for a good FTP Client without all the bells and whistles then this may be your best bet. Before Yummy FTP I tried 4 other very popular FTP Clients on OSX and the thing that seperated Yummy from the rest was the fact that it had the lowest CPU and RAM Usage BY FAR. Especially the CPU Usage. While some were using upwards of 70% CPU Usage Yummy was using 10% TOPS. Ram usage? 35 MB? Amazing. I cant tell you much about features as I do very simple things with my FTP Clients. Its interface is nice and simple. Youre not likely to get confused at any point. Pretty straight forward, although I will say that Transmit and Forklift 2 both had very nice UIs as well, as nice if not nicer than this. Speed of transfers? Honestly from what I can tell its about as fast as any of the other FTP Clients Ive used. Some of these Clients MAY excel at transferring small files but otherwise they all seemed similar. For $1.99 I figured I could give my support to the developer. If all you need is a simple program then Id definitely demo this and see if you like it.

Money Well Spent!

Got this after another FTP program left me confused and dazzled. This is so easy to use. Simplicity without loosing many core functions. Im very happy with the purchase :)

Beyond Stellar. Worth 10x The Price

This thing is coated with excellence and dripping with awesome. If you want an FTP client that is no-frills, direct, get-you-there-and-back with fantastic speed and outstanding quality, this is the one. Ive tried several others on my MacBook Air (2011) both before and after my Mountain Lion upgrade, and they all fell short, eventually taking me back to the command line in a terminal. Not this one. It is honestly the best two bucks Ive ever spent on an App Store delivery, and frankly its worth 10-times that. If youre in need of an FTP client, just stop reading and hit Buy It. You wont be disappointed. The UI is extremely well laid out, the performance outstanding, the configuration options well planned, and the footprint is almost unbelievable in this day and age or bloated toolkits and wrapper libraries. It is to simple, straight-forward FTP clients what SecureCRT was to SSH terminals back in the day, but add an order of magnitude of slick. The built-in SFTP is fantastic for those of us that need to have our public FTP sites in DMZ for global access without the headache of a VPN. Just get it.

Very nice

This is perfect for my needs…uploading files to my website. Intuitive and easy to use.

Good FTP client, great support

Initially I had some concerns about my recent purchase and Retina compatibility. After contacting support I was given a quick response and clear explination as to why I was encountering my issues. FTP client does what it needs to do and does it well with a minimalistic UI

Simple, clean, easy, great

I love this app. Im no FTP guru, and it was easy to figure it out and use it. An absolute bargain for the price.

Gets the job done!

Ive used it to interact with my website and myFiles memory space (for college). Basic uses but I havent had any problems. Changing some of the settings allowed me to quickly update files. I could replace files with one click (which was important for me and saved a lot of time).

Good price for what I need

I needed to download some files from my web server to make space so my web host wouldnt have to charge me extra for space. Within minutes of downloading this program I was downloading files to my hard disk frm my host. I tried doing this before through my hosts website and I couldnt get what I wanted and the browsers FTP add on just screwed things up. Took me a few seconds to figure things out, but I am very happy with what it is doing.

An excellent sftp client

Got tired of the using the terminal to sftp files to my UNIX hosts… Yummy FTP Lite works like a champ. And there is plenty of customizations to get Yummy FTP Lite to work like I wanted it to work.

Quick and Easy

I have downloaded 2 other apps for ftp file managment and this is the only one that works first time and every time. Thanks developers!!

Nice

Perfect for FTP.

Product did not work at all

This application was pretty much garbage. Every time that I tried to choose a default folder, the application crashed.
